I had this conversation with a steward about typical races. Him being Indian and me feeling pyschic,I asked..
Me: you don't do Indian girls do you?
Indian guy: no why?
Me: I thought so. You don't look the type.(yes I know, abit of stereotyping here..but hey we all are guilty of it!And don't u dare shake your head) Chinese then?-I got a wee bit more curious..lol what do u expect? Sitting down for landing and taxing is very boring.. Especially when u do it every single day.
Indian guy: yeah. Actually i started out dating an Indian. That was my first then it was 20% chinese then a chindian and then Chinese.I realise the typical Indian is not suited to me. The whole dancing thing and all..

Anyways my point is.. We started discussing and trying to figure out about the typical stereotypes.
For example, The minahs and matreps are often associated with tappered pants and blond hair, tattoos,guitars,cheap vodka and jiwang under the void deck,of mass orgies, hostess,gangsterism,drugs and something close to prostitution.(they don't usually like to see it that way) Can u think of anything more?
While the typical Indians are paired with shiny jeans, trying to hard to be hip hop dancers feeling ala ala people of the dark skin,tailed hair,dyed prints tshirt for ladies and bright neon coloured jerseys for the males,and extremely strong perfume.
And the fair people..oh this is classic, the long tailed combs, feeler fringes, blond hair or any other shades that is quite a put off,public nuisance( infact all of the above are also public nuisance),gangsterism,money laundering?I can't think of much..
Pardon the long list for the first category..cause as much as I like to deny it, I'm better socialized with them lot then the rest. Well that's a history I shall not indulge you with.not that I was ever part of them. I don't even know how to talk to them! Not a pleasant experience if you ask me.
But then again most of the things I wrote could be biased and influence by the stories I hear and the things I see..solely my opinion.feel free to correct and educate me.lol
But all of them have one thing in common. They travel in groups.. And without fail is involve in a riot or a fight or two.
I wonder what the typical mat and ahbengs of the Caucasian are like..lol.. And what do they call the Indian ahbengs anyway?
Again I don't see any link to my Chinese gf conversation with that steward with this topic. I realise I tend to jump the board sometimes.
Well atleast they made a name for themselves tho not an honourable one..the rest of us? We could have lived and be ordinary and plain and almost nonexistent to others.
