Why do dogs (and other animals) eat poop?

Eww ewww ewwww....as much as i love dogs..this is disgusting.. Now why am i reading this? bcos i had a terrible stomach ache earlier on! and my poop came out..well..liquidified? hahaha... i wonder if there is a world record on the world's longest poop! u know the type dat actually links from turd to turd..ok ok...i know disgusting...just a random thought.
